gpsim is an open source simulator for Microchip's PIC microcontrolers. It supports all the three families of PICs. 12-bit, 14-bit, and 16-bit cores. The gnupic gpsim is distributed under the GNU General Public License. This software let you test the code for a microcontroller without using the real microcontroller by saving time and cost.

The great thing behind gpsim simulator is that it is open source and hence need to purchase any kind of license. It supports 12-bit, 14-bit, and 16-bit cores PIC microcontrolers hence not need to have any other simulator.
This is a cool gpsim simulator. I think I should add up this into my hardware list this 2011.

gpsim is a full-featured software simulator for Microchip PIC microcontrollers distributed under the GNU General Public License. gpsim is not fancy, but it's improving. It supports a good fashioned CLI.
